Early Game

Early on, poke through minions with the piercing feathers from your Passive and farm safely. Skill 3's root needs enough feathers in the right place, so keep track of where your feathers land during trades.

Late Game

Wasting Ult for damage

Xayah's Ult (Featherstorm) is your defensive tool against assassins and burst. Using it early for damage or a forced engage leaves you an easy target for the rest of the fight. From level 5, keep Ult to dodge fatal CC. Fight by kiting and setting up Skill 3 roots instead.

Featherstorm [New] The ability can now be cast with a tap even when there are no targets nearby. With auto-aim, Featherstorm was unreliable whenever no attackable target stood close by, which made it awkward as a way to dodge incoming ranged attacks. It can now be tapped regardless of whether a target is present, so it comes out the instant Xayah sees something aimed at her. That applies just as much while retreating or moving alone as it does mid-fight, so the cast finally matches the moment the player decided on it.
