Early Game

Abuse your massive range early on to poke relentlessly and establish lane dominance! The golden rule of Varus is to stack your Skill 2 passive with three auto-attacks before detonating it with a skill to completely chunk the enemy's HP.

Mid Game

Whenever your ultimate is up, it's kill time! Use it to set up jungle ganks or catch out-of-position enemies. If you're running a lethality poke build, relentlessly firing fully charged Skill 1s from the fog of war will make the enemy team miserable.

Late Game

In the late game, soften up the enemy team with massive poke before committing to epic monsters! However, since you have zero mobility, you must be extremely paranoid about your positioning—never step up without peel!

Teamfights

Follow up on your team's engage by firing your ultimate right into the middle of the enemy squad to spread the root and cause chaos! From there, maintain a safe distance, stack your passive with autos, and detonate them with skills to systematically wipe them out.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

Spamming skills without weaving auto-attacks

Varus unlocks his maximum damage exclusively by stacking Blight with auto-attacks and popping it with skills. While raw-firing Skill 1 for poke is fine, dumping all your skills without weaving a single auto-attack during an all-in is a massive damage loss! Even after landing your (Lv)5 ultimate, don't panic—weave in a few calm auto-attacks before detonating the stacks with your other skills to guarantee the kill!
