Early Game
Leverage your passive shield and high burst damage to aggressively speed-clear the jungle early on! Landing a fully charged Skill 1 guarantees a highly successful gank. If you force an enemy flash, don't hesitate to aggressively camp their lane and secure the kill on a repeat gank.
Mid Game
Your absolute biggest weapon is the guaranteed point-and-click engage from your Ultimate! Capitalize on this by locking down isolated enemies during objective vision battles, or force aggressive skirmishes alongside your most fed teammate to completely dominate the mid-game map.
Late Game
Be extremely careful not to recklessly dive in alone during the late game, or the enemy team will melt you instantly with focus fire! The absolute key to winning is choosing the perfect engage timing and making sure your team's damage dealers are close enough to immediately follow up.
Teamfights
Your job in teamfights is dead simple: use your Ultimate to relentlessly dive the most fed enemy carry and ensure your team bursts them down! After you engage, abuse your passive shields to survive as long as humanly possible, wreaking absolute havoc right in the middle of the enemy formation.
⚠️ Common Mistakes
Missing a fully charged Skill 1 and getting isolated
Vi's Skill 1 is a phenomenally strong engage tool, but charging it from a mile away and completely missing is a disastrous mistake that leaves you stranded in the enemy team to be instantly butchered! On ganks, don't force a max-range punch; simply walk up or use Red Buff's slow to guarantee the hit. Post Lv5, master the true veteran combo: use your Ultimate for guaranteed lockdown, then follow up with a point-blank Skill 1 that they can't possibly dodge.
