Early Game
Since your early gank potential is quite low, avoid forcing plays and power farm your jungle to rush level 5! Shyvana boasts an insane Dragon slaying speed and heavily relies on her passive buffs, so securing that first Dragon with your team is an absolute top priority.
Mid Game
When your Ultimate is ready, Shyvana is an absolute monster! Proactively force fights and incinerate enemies with the extreme-range burst of your Dragon form's Skill 3. When your Ultimate is on cooldown, strictly play defensively and power farm to recharge your Fury gauge as fast as possible.
Late Game
In the late game, you become the primary damage carry with your overwhelming burst and massive AoE! Before objective fights around Dragon or Baron, transform with your Ultimate and chunk the enemy heavily with Skill 3 poke. Force them out of fighting condition before safely securing the objective.
Teamfights
In teamfights, look for heavily grouped enemies and aggressively dive them with your Ultimate! Instantly follow up with Skill 3 to gloriously incinerate their entire team. If you're running an AP build, don't try to frontline—instead, act as heavy mobile artillery, safely nuking them from the backline.

Shyvana Mistake: Ignoring Elemental Dragons
Because Shyvana's passive dynamically upgrades her abilities with every Dragon slain, completely ignoring objectives to AFK farm in your own jungle is your absolute biggest mistake! A Shyvana without Dragons will severely lack power and fail to scale into mid and late-game teamfights. Prioritize early vision control, work tightly with your team to secure Dragons at all costs, and use your Lv5 Dragon transformation Ultimate as your ultimate game-changing engage tool.
