Popular Ahri builds in game

Taken from the in-game loadout screen as of 2026-08-26. The pick count and win rate are shown exactly as the game reports them.

Build 1Win rate 55.77%Picks 15,611

Penetration piled high against Magic Resistance

  • Spellslinger's Shoes
  • Luden's Echo
  • Stormsurge
  • Rabadon's Deathcap
  • Infinity Orb
  • Void Staff

When enemies build Magic Resistance and your damage starts falling off

Void Staff's 40% and Stormsurge's 15 push the build to 48 flat and 48% Magic Penetration, so Magic Resistance buys do not shut the damage down. Stormsurge applies Squall once you deal 25% of an enemy champion's max HP within 2.5 seconds, and the same trigger grants you 25% bonus Movement Speed for 2.5s on a 25-second cooldown. Squall strikes two seconds later for 125 plus 10% AP magic damage.

Build 2Win rate 55.37%Picks 12,107

Shield-shredding with more Ability Haste and health

  • Spellslinger's Shoes
  • Luden's Echo
  • Infinity Orb
  • Rabadon's Deathcap
  • Oceanid's Trident
  • Cryptbloom

When enemy champions grant shields that blunt your burst

Oceanid's Trident's Lethal Weapon cuts the durability of shields an enemy champion gains for 3 seconds after you deal ability damage to them. On single-target abilities that is (5% of AP + 40)%, capped at 60%. Cryptbloom adds 30% Magic Penetration and 20 Ability Haste, putting the build at 40 Ability Haste in total. The Trident's 200 Max Health gives you room to step up and cast.

Ahri Strengths

  • High mobility from Ult (Spirit Rush)
  • Burst and catch potential from Charm

Ahri Weaknesses

  • ×Damage depends on landing skillshots
  • ×Fragile with few escapes while Ult is down

Early Game

Use the two-way damage of Skill 1 to clear the wave and poke the enemy at the same time. Skill 3 (Charm) costs a lot of mana and leaves a large opening if missed. Save it for guaranteed hits or for following up a jungler gank.

Mid Game

Use Ult's mobility to roam to other lanes and move the game. When you spot an isolated enemy out of position, go in with Ult, land Charm, and secure the kill. This is where your snowball picks up.

Late Game

In the late game, play as an assassin hunting the enemy's squishy carries. Engage with Ult from out of vision, kill the carry, and dash back to safety with the remaining Ult charges. This hit-and-run pattern is your late-game default.

Teamfights

Avoid fighting front-to-back in teamfights. Stay in their blind spots on the flank and keep targeting the enemy ADC or mage. Start the fight by catching someone with Charm, and stick to hit-and-run so you never draw too much focus.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

Wasting Charm (Skill 3)

Throwing Charm out randomly and missing costs you both your best self-peel and your catch tool, which enemy assassins will punish. Poke with Skill 1 and save Charm for gank follow-ups or guaranteed kills. From Level 5 you can use Ult to escape, so wait for the opening.

Ahri Patch History

Adjust
Ahri has received an Art & Sustainability Update (ASU) that refreshes her look while keeping her iconic silhouette intact. The update rebuilds her model and rig, gives her tails more natural animation, smooths out her visual effects, and improves the animation across her whole kit. Her existing skins have also been updated to meet current quality standards; Riot cites player feedback as the reason. This is a visual pass only — no stats or ability numbers changed. That said, the redrawn effects mean that anyone who reads Ahri's hitboxes and cast timings off the old visuals will be briefly out of sync, on both sides of the matchup. Skins you already own are covered by the new quality bar too, so they will look different the next time you play them.

Fox Fire Targeting logic for Fox Fire (Skill 2) has been optimised. Marking an enemy with a basic attack or with Charm (Skill 3) keeps Fox Fire (Skill 2) from spreading. Charm The cast feel of Charm (Skill 3) has been optimised so the Charm → Flash combo (Skill 3 → Flash) is easier to execute. Fox Fire splits before it flies out, and the frustration was watching the flames scatter onto minions or the wrong champion. Marking a target with a basic attack or Charm keeps them together, so the damage lands where it was aimed. The Charm → Flash input also goes through more reliably, which makes stepping past her cast range to land the Charm a far more repeatable play.
