Patch 6.3 changes

Update history and meta predictions

Numbers are transcribed from the official Riot patch notes; the commentary is ours. This page covers patch 6.3 (added 2026-05-28).

Meta analysis (patch 6.3, AI-written forecast)

Varus and Ashe are nerfed, which shifts the duo lane balance. Together with the Senna buff, sustain-oriented marksmen see more play. The new item Radiant Virtue boosts tank supports and engage tanks in teamfights. Nidalee joins the jungle with high mobility and poke, so games move from the early minutes.

Radiant Virtue
Radiant VirtuePatch 6.3
New
New Item Price: 2850 gold Max HP: +300 AR: +45 Ability Haste: +15 A front-line item that pairs health and armor with a slice of Ability Haste. The haste is what separates it from a pure defensive buy: it suits champions who want to keep re-casting engage or protection tools rather than only soaking damage. Note that 6.3c later trimmed the self Max HP gain on Guiding Light, so it is a little tamer than it was at release.
Nidalee
NidaleePatch 6.3
New
New Champion Nidalee released A half-beast hunter raised deep in the wilds who fights by switching between human and cougar forms Switching forms means choosing between reaching out at range as a human and diving in to brawl as a cougar, depending on the moment. Each form carries its own abilities, so there is more to learn than usual, but the payoff is picking your own range and role mid-fight. Right after release opponents will not know the matchup either — start by learning the distances at which switching pays off.
Nasus
NasusPatch 6.3
Nerf
Base Stats Base AD: 62 → 58 Four base AD comes off, and it shows up immediately in lane trades and last-hitting. Nasus trades early weakness for late-game strength, so a slower start compounds on itself. He can still get there once grown, but avoiding unnecessary early fights matters more than it did.
Ashe
AshePatch 6.3
Nerf
Ranger Focus Attack speed bonus: 20/30/40/50% → 15/25/35/45% Volley Base damage: 20/40/60/80 → 20/35/50/65 Ashe controls a lane by stacking attack speed and chipping in with Volley, and both halves get trimmed. Shoving an opponent off the wave without taking any risk is harder now. Volley's rank 1 damage is untouched, so the gap to the old numbers widens with every point invested. With both the swings and the poke trimmed, taking a lane over alone is less realistic than setting up plays with a teammate.
Senna
SennaPatch 6.3
Buff
Absolution Nearby souls that were not attacked are now absorbed automatically when they expire Basic attacks are no longer interrupted by other abilities Piercing Darkness Allied heal range: 2.3 → 2.8 Senna grows by collecting souls, but a teamfight rarely leaves room to shoot each one down. Auto-collecting the ones that expire nearby keeps her scaling ticking while she focuses on the fight itself. The wider heal range on Piercing Darkness matters just as much — she can reach a diving ally from further back instead of walking into danger to top them up.
Varus
VarusPatch 6.3
Nerf
Living Vengeance Bonus attack speed on takedown reduced Blighted Quiver On-hit magic damage: 20/30/40/50 → 15/25/35/45 Varus used to snowball a fight on two fronts: attack speed after every takedown and magic damage riding on each basic attack. Both come down together, so the follow-up after a kill is slower and each shot lands lighter. Lane trades chip less as well, which puts more weight on landing his abilities cleanly. The on-hit damage loses the same 5 at every rank, so levelling the ability never closes the gap.
Bard
BardPatch 6.3
Nerf
Cosmic Binding (Q) Base damage: 120/160/200/240 → 90/140/190/240 The cut is largest at the lower ranks and disappears entirely at rank 4, so it targets Bard's early lane pressure rather than his late game. Poking an opponent down without committing is no longer close to free. Landing it where a teammate can follow up now matters more than simply hitting it often. Nothing but the base damage moved, so there is no need to rethink how Bard is played as a support.

What the Patch Archive Covers

515 recorded changes across 26 versions, from 6.3 through to the current 7.2d. It is built for tracking how often a single champion has been buffed or nerfed.

Some patches move far more than others

The largest is 7.2 with 175 entries — the patch that rebuilt boots and introduced tier 3. Others run to a handful of lines, so the version numbers alone say nothing about how much the meta shifted.

Of the 515 entries, 182 are champion changes. The rest cover items and runes, ARAM and Arena tuning, ranked seasons and system-level work.

What the meta prediction is worth

Selecting a version also brings up a meta prediction for that patch, 26 versions in all. It is an AI-written read rather than measured data; the tier list is where you check what the win rates actually did.

Counts reflect the patch data bundled with this site. A new patch takes a short while to appear.
