Patch 7.1c changes

Update history and meta predictions

Numbers are transcribed from the official Riot patch notes; the commentary is ours. This page covers patch 7.1c (added 2026-05-25).

Meta analysis (patch 7.1c, AI-written forecast)

Thornmail and Pyromancer's Cloak deal less damage, so tanks and juggernauts lose a little passive damage. The impact on Summoner's Rift is small. In Arena and the other adventure modes, the optimised augment pool shifts which synergies dominate.

ARAMPatch 7.1c
Adjust
Summoner spell adjustments Snowball recast speed increased Applies to: ARAM, Arena and Spellbook ARAM Snowball's recast is faster, shortening the gap between landing the hit and arriving on top of the target. Against players who fight at range, starting to disengage the moment it connects is often no longer enough. The change applies to all three ARAM-style modes, so stepping into range of someone holding Snowball deserves more caution than it used to. Slower mages and supports in particular should keep their time in the open short.

ARAMPatch 7.1c
Adjust
Field adjustments Items removed from the mid lane teleport track The first paint selection phase now has no time limit and its interface can be closed Augment adjustments Ultimate-related augments no longer appear when Back to Basics has been selected Augment pool optimization: some augments are now restricted to specific classes With items gone from the teleport track, taking the mid lane is now a decision about movement alone rather than about picking something up. The first selection phase no longer runs on a timer and its interface can be dismissed, which removes rushed misclicks. Blocking ultimate-related augments after Back to Basics is picked stops players from drawing options that cannot work with their build. Narrowing the pool by class also means the choices offered are more likely to fit the role you are playing.
Thornmail
ThornmailPatch 7.1c
Nerf
Magic Damage 20 + 6% Bonus AR + 2% Bonus HP → 20 + 6% Bonus AR + 1% Bonus HP Halving the bonus HP scaling from 2% to 1% hits health-stacking tanks hardest. The bonus AR portion is untouched, so Thornmail leans further toward being an armor item that shuts attackers down rather than one that punishes them for hitting you. It chips away at an enemy AD carry far less, which means leaving the actual killing to your team. Builds that paired it with heavy health items are worth revisiting.
Gambler's Blade
Gambler's BladePatch 7.1c
Adjust
Gambler's Blade Gold stacks can now be checked in the item panel The item's numbers are untouched; only its readout changed. Because Gambler's Blade holds gold as stacks, seeing the current count lets you work backwards to when your next item is actually affordable. That turns a guess into a decision about whether to keep farming or commit to a fight. It looks like a cosmetic change, but it directly improves how precisely you can plan a build.
Pyromancer's Cloak
Pyromancer's CloakPatch 7.1c
Nerf
Cleansing Flame Damage over time: 60s → 30s Damage per burn effect: 40s → 30s Both values behind Cleansing Flame come down to 30, so Pyromancer's Cloak burns targets for meaningfully less. Grinding an opponent down with stacked burn damage is no longer a reliable plan, pushing the holder toward shorter, more decisive fights. Compositions that leaned on this item for sustained chip damage need another source of pressure. If Pyromancer's Cloak was the centre of your build, recalculate how long it now takes to finish a target.

BugfixesPatch 7.1c
Adjust
Bug Fixes Fixed Stackosaurus Rex stacks not applying correctly to Hubris Fixed Ethereal Weapon failing to trigger in certain situations Fixed an interaction issue between the Chauffeur augment and Yuumi All three are cases where an item or augment combination was not behaving the way its text promised. The stack interaction with Hubris was quietly underperforming, so the same picks now produce different results. Ethereal Weapon also failed to fire under some conditions, which means builds that plan around it can finally count on it.

What the Patch Archive Covers

515 recorded changes across 26 versions, from 6.3 through to the current 7.2d. It is built for tracking how often a single champion has been buffed or nerfed.

Some patches move far more than others

The largest is 7.2 with 175 entries — the patch that rebuilt boots and introduced tier 3. Others run to a handful of lines, so the version numbers alone say nothing about how much the meta shifted.

Of the 515 entries, 182 are champion changes. The rest cover items and runes, ARAM and Arena tuning, ranked seasons and system-level work.

What the meta prediction is worth

Selecting a version also brings up a meta prediction for that patch, 26 versions in all. It is an AI-written read rather than measured data; the tier list is where you check what the win rates actually did.

Counts reflect the patch data bundled with this site. A new patch takes a short while to appear.
