Patch 7.1d changes

Update history and meta predictions

Numbers are transcribed from the official Riot patch notes; the commentary is ours. This page covers patch 7.1d (added 2026-05-25).

Meta analysis (patch 7.1d, AI-written forecast)

Late-game ADCs such as Sivir and Zeri are buffed and Lethal Tempo is nerfed, which widens marksman build choices. Urgot and Vladimir buffs bring scaling picks back to Top and Mid. Vayne and Mel are less oppressive in lane after their nerfs.

Vayne
VaynePatch 7.1d
Nerf
Tumble Empowered attack duration: 7s → 4s Silver Bolts True damage: 3/6/9/12% → 2/5/8/11% Attack Speed: 15/20/25/30% → 10/15/20/25% Holding a Tumble-empowered attack now lasts 4s instead of 7s, cutting the window between rolling and striking. Waiting out an opening before landing that hit is much harder, and a misread on positioning costs Vayne outright. Silver Bolts loses 1% true damage and 5% attack speed at every rank, so she shreds tanks more slowly and wins fewer extended trades. There are simply fewer moments where she can step forward for free.
Urgot
UrgotPatch 7.1d
Buff
Base Stats Base AD: 58 → 62 Echoing Flames AD ratio: 50/65/80/95% → 60/75/90/105% Four extra base AD plus 10% more AD ratio at every rank make Urgot's lane trades straightforwardly stronger. Echoing Flames is his main source of chip damage, so getting that 10% from rank 1 shows up immediately in the early game. His last-hitting and wave clear steady up as well, meaning fewer stretches spent shoved under his own tower. The ratio increase keeps paying off once his items are finished.
Tristana
TristanaPatch 7.1d
Buff
Explosive Charge Explosion damage after a unit kill: 55/85/115/145 → 65/100/135/170 The explosion gains damage at every rank, rising from 145 to 170 at rank 4. Since it goes off when the charged unit dies, Tristana clears waves faster and can shove the lane more freely. That shove converts into tower pressure, a roam, or a safe recall, which is where her early tempo comes from. Rank 1 gains 10, so the buff is noticeable well before the ability is maxed.
Mel
MelPatch 7.1d
Nerf
Shimmering Strike Damage per explosion: 13/16/19/22 + 7% AP → 11/14/17/20 + 6% AP Damage modifier against minions: 75% → 90% Rebuttal Cooldown: 32/29/26/23s → 38/36/34/32s Shimmering Strike hits champions for less while its minion modifier climbs from 75% to 90%, so Mel's wave clear actually improves. The split is deliberate: less pressure on the enemy laner, the same ability to hold the lane. The bigger change is Rebuttal, whose rank 4 cooldown stretches from 23s to 32s, ending the habit of keeping it available almost constantly. Each cast has to be earned now, which turns the ability into a much sharper read on the opponent.
Vladimir
VladimirPatch 7.1d
Buff
Base Stats Base AR: 34 → 37 Crimson Pact AP to bonus HP conversion: 120% → 140% Three more base AR makes the early trades against AD opponents a little easier to sit through. Crimson Pact converts AP into bonus HP, so raising the rate from 120% to 140% means every AP item now also buys durability. Vladimir's damage build feeds his survivability more directly, giving him more room to step forward in teamfights. The patch shores up both his early stability and his late-game staying power.
Riven
RivenPatch 7.1d
Adjust
Runic Blade Bonus damage ratio: 32%~60% → 22%~50% Damage to jungle monsters: 50% → 65% Bonus damage against champions drops by 10%, so Riven's trading power in lane and in skirmishes clearly falls. At the same time her jungle modifier rises from 50% to 65%, which speeds up her clear. Jungle Riven is pushed toward farming first and picking her fights carefully. In the baron lane she only gets the downside, so reading when to trade and when to back off matters more.
Sivir
SivirPatch 7.1d
Buff
Base Stats AD per level: 3.5 → 4 Boomerang Blade AD ratio: 70/75/80/85% → 75/80/85/90% Sivir gains 0.5 more AD per level, so the gap in her base AD widens the longer the game runs. Both her basic attacks and Boomerang Blade scale off that, strengthening her ability to push back once the lane settles. Boomerang Blade also picks up 5% AD ratio at every rank, speeding up her wave clear and her poke. None of this decides an early skirmish outright, but it compounds as the game goes on.
Zeri
ZeriPatch 7.1d
Buff
Base Stats AD per level: 3.5 → 4 Living Battery AD ratio: 104/108/112/116/120% → 105/110/115/120/125% Spark Surge Cooldown: 24/21.5/19/16.5s → 22/19.5/17/14.5s Zeri gains 0.5 more AD per level and Living Battery's ratio now tops out at 125%. Since her damage comes from a steady stream of shots, extra AD feeds directly into her sustained output. Spark Surge returns 2s sooner at every rank, so she can cross walls and reposition far more often. Adjusting her stance mid-trade becomes easier, which cuts down on the moments where she simply gets caught.

RunesPatch 7.1d
Adjust
Lethal Tempo Attack Speed per stack (ranged): 3%~12% → 3%~10% Empowerment Damage amplification: 8% → 9% Adaptive damage: 40~180 → 60~200 Absolute Focus Activation threshold: 70% → 65% Adaptive force: 1~15 → 2~20 Ixtali Seedjar Time before each plant can be collected again: 45s → 30s Lethal Tempo's ranged cap falls from 12% to 10%, so drawn-out trades reward marksmen less than they did. Empowerment moves the other way, with 9% damage amplification and adaptive damage topping out at 200, favouring a short burst of attacks instead. Absolute Focus is easier to keep active now that its health threshold drops from 70% to 65%, and its adaptive force ceiling rises from 15 to 20. Ixtali Seedjar cuts the wait for each plant from 45s to 30s, which means more seeds over the course of a game.

ARAMPatch 7.1d
Adjust
ARAM Early-game respawn timers extended Damage adjustments Aurelion Sol, Sett, Veigar, Leona, Rammus, Shen, Alistar, Vladimir, Shyvana, Garen, Vayne, Ziggs, Miss Fortune, Xayah, Twitch, Varus Longer early respawn timers make a death at low levels much more costly. On a single-lane map the enemy can push to your tower while you wait, so the opening fights reward patience over aggression. The damage pass covers 16 champions, from front-liners such as Leona, Rammus and Alistar to attack-based carries such as Vayne, Twitch and Miss Fortune. If the champion you are handed is on that list, do not assume last patch's trading patterns still hold.

ARAMPatch 7.1d
Adjust
Field adjustments Knock-up duration at the race start line: 0.5s → 0.2s New augments Added Subjugate, Charged Strike, One Strike, Sword Strike, Axe Strike, Power Sync, Defensive Sync, Haste Sync and others Augment adjustments Adaptive Force: 2 → 1 Augment pool adjustments Shortening the knock-up at the start line from 0.5s to 0.2s means fewer runs ruined by being pinned at the gate. The new augments arrive as two families, the strike set and the sync set, widening the range of picks that suit a given composition. Adaptive Force drops from 2 to 1, so it is no longer the safe default you take when nothing else stands out. Together with the pool changes, augment choices now need to be matched to your champion rather than taken on reflex.

SkinsPatch 7.1d
New
New Skins Neon Daredevil Kai'Sa Neon Daredevil Hecarim Neon Daredevil Irelia Neon Daredevil Aurora Neon Daredevil Zed Neon Daredevil Gragas Prestige Select Neon Daredevil Kai'Sa Release: April 30, 09:01 JST Neon Daredevil arrives as a six-champion line, with a Prestige Select version of Kai'Sa on top. Six skins landing at once means a lot of unfamiliar effects on screen in the days after release. Skins do not change performance, but new visuals can cost you a fraction of a second when reading an ability. The six champions are spread across roles, so you could run into one of these in any lane.

What the Patch Archive Covers

515 recorded changes across 26 versions, from 6.3 through to the current 7.2d. It is built for tracking how often a single champion has been buffed or nerfed.

Some patches move far more than others

The largest is 7.2 with 175 entries — the patch that rebuilt boots and introduced tier 3. Others run to a handful of lines, so the version numbers alone say nothing about how much the meta shifted.

Of the 515 entries, 182 are champion changes. The rest cover items and runes, ARAM and Arena tuning, ranked seasons and system-level work.

What the meta prediction is worth

Selecting a version also brings up a meta prediction for that patch, 26 versions in all. It is an AI-written read rather than measured data; the tier list is where you check what the win rates actually did.

Counts reflect the patch data bundled with this site. A new patch takes a short while to appear.
